  7. Massage konnyaku with salt. Slice & make 1/2" slits. Flip one end thru slit to make twists.
  8. Cut aburage in bite sizes pieces.
  9. Fry chicken (or pork belly) in oil until light brown.
  10. Add water, konbu, shiitake, aburage & konnyaku. Cover & cook for 15 minutes.
  11. Add shoyu, sugar, dashi-no-moto, takenoko, carrots & gobo and cook for 15 minutes.
  12. Add araimo and cook for 15 minutes.
