- Press it with spoon or hand inside the net to take most of the paste out of the mixture
- Add ginger – chilli paste to the filtered liquid and mix it well
- Add salt to taste and chutney is ready
First prepare tamarind pulp, add jaggery and boil it for few minutes Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, black salt and salt, mix well. Taste for sweetness and add more jaggery if you want to make sweeter chutney. We really liked the sweet and spicy. It did not thicken very well and next time I will use a bit of cornstarch too but the flavor was great. This exotic sweet and sour chutney is a delicious condiment.
