The ingredients needed to make Ginger soy salmon:
- Get 2 salmon fillets
- Prepare 2 tsp avocado oil
- Make ready 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Get 1 1/2 tbsp grated ginger (the pre done jars are great)
- Get 2 tsp maple syrup (optional)
In a glass baking dish or large resealable plastic bag, combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes (if using). Add soy sauce, rice wine, rice vinegar, ginger, and wasabi paste to the garlic-sesame oil mixture; whisk to combine. Add salmon fillets and turn to evenly coat. Put the salmon fillets spaced apart in the middle of a large square of baking paper and put on a roasting tray.

- Get a medium sized pan with a lid and spray down with your oil of choice
- Lay the salmon fillets in the pan and put one tsp of avocado oil on each of the fillets. Rub very gently to spread it over the whole fillet as best as you can.
- Mix the soy sauce, ginger and maple syrup together until ginger looks broken up and take a small spoonful at a time and coat the salmon.
- Try to use up the ginger bits on the salmon so any reserved liquid can be used for the steam liquid. The less water you can add to this, the better.
- Steam for approximately 10 mins. The time will depend on how thick your fillets are but watch for the salmon to shrink to gauge cook time. Take a peek if needed.
Divide the stem ginger between the tops of each fillet and fold up the sides of the parchment ready to seal. Drizzle the ginger syrup and soy sauce over the fillets, sprinkle over the chilli and then seal the parcel. Whisk soy sauce, honey, ginger and garlic together in a bowl until marinade is evenly mixed. Place salmon fillets in shallow dish; pour the remaining marinade over the salmon. Heat sesame oil in a large fry pan over medium-high heat.
