The ingredients needed to make Chilli Tofu:
  1. Prepare 150 grams tofu drained and patted dry
  2. Prepare 1 fresh green chillies, sliced
  3. Take 1 /2 onion slices
  4. Prepare 1 tsp Grated ginger
  5. Get 1 tsp Grated garlic
  6. Prepare Pinch chilli fleks
  7. Make ready 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  8. Take 1 tsp Red chilli sauce
  9. Get 1 tsp Soya Sauce
  10. Get 1 tsp vinegar
  11. Make ready 1 tbsp oil
  12. Take 5-6 mint leaves
  13. Make ready some fresh coriander leaves
  14. Get to taste Salt
  15. Take to taste Black peper
  16. Get as required Oil for deep-frying
Instructions to make Chilli Tofu:
  1. Cut the tofu in 1-inch pieces. Dust the tofu cubes with 1/2 tbsp cornflour.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the tofu till lightly brown on the outside. Drain on absorbent paper
  3. To prepare chilli sauce, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add sliced onion and cook for 2-3 add ginger, garlic and green chillies and mix well and sauté for 20-30 seconds.
  4. Add some water and mix well. Add chilli sauce, soy sauce and crushed red chillies and mix well.
  5. Dissolve remaining cornstarch in some water to make a smooth slurry and add this to the pan. Mix well.
  6. Add Chop mint leaves and add chopped coriander and mix well.Add salt, pepper powder, mix well and sauté for 30 seconds
  7. Now add vinegar and mix well. Add the tofu and mix well for few seconds. Switch off heat.
  8. Transfer on a serving plate. serve immediately.
