- soak the urad with rice for about 5 hours and grind into a smooth paste to vada consistency.

- in another pan pour water and cardamom & sugar and let it boil for about 15 mins.
- simmer and keep it warm
- heat oil in a pan for frying. a wide pan is prefered.
- use an icing cone , fill it with batter and squeeze the batter in circular motion to form atleast 3 layers , directly into the heat oil.
- once done , put it in the sugar syrup, straight from the oil.
- press it with a laddle and let it absorb the sweetness for about 30 secs.
- remove it from the syrup and serve
